Hello Readers! 😇It’s been several weeks and I haven’t posted anything. I think I am not very good with consistency thing. It’s easy to blame that I have so much work to do already with my 2 kids and all, but I will not do that. 🙄Ideas do come in mind, but sometimes I really struggle to put them in words. Anyways, coming back, I thought I should write something for my self-help section and here I am. 👋
We all agree that there are times when we need a spark of motivation to keep going. With so many ups and downs, there come moments when you just begin to lose yourself, your sanity and your will to keep moving on the life’s path – like you’re slipping away from yourself. It happens to me, like very frequently. In those times of distress, a gentle nudge reminding you that everything will be ok can mean the world.
Blessed are those who have such people in their life whom they can lean on in tough times. But sometimes, when no one’s around and it’s just you, only you and you who can help yourself. In those difficult times, you must be your own source of strength. When it feels like the Universe is against you, make sure to tell yourself – Everything is going to be fine. Everything will ultimately fall into place itself. This too shall pass.
I maintain a journal where I keep writing some life lessons that help me through my darkest times. I am a strong believer of God and many of these thoughts are rooted in faith in the Almighty who is our creator, protector and destroyer. But it’s ok if you don’t share the same belief. You can place your faith in Nature or Universe, or whatever resonates more deeply with you.
If any of those words can bring you even a silver of hope, then I am grateful they found their way to you. Here are some of those life lessons, or quotes, or whatever you say that I would like to share with you.
- However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. While there is life, there is hope. – Stephen Hawking (The Theory of Everything)
- If God is with you, it doesn’t matter who is against you.
- The One who grants you the next moment of life is the One who will give you everything, moment by moment. – Neelkanth Varni (BAPS)
- Do not let your irrational fears and thoughts rip you of your mental peace. Most of the times, the things you fear of never happen.
- Don’t run after success, pursue excellence instead. Success will come chasing you. – 3 Idiots
- The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for. – Bob Marley
- If there is true devotion, faith and love for God, then he himself arranges everything at the right moment, when you need it the most. – Premanand Ji Maharaj
- Life has made me realize that you cannot – and should not – escape from battles. If there isn’t a battle outside, there would be one within. So, go with the flow of life.
- Broaden your world view. There are so many things to do and think about in life. When you come in stress, count your blessings and think about all the great things you can do in life.
- Your mind is not a dustbin. Don’t fill it with trash or irrelevant thoughts. Instead, nurture it with meaningful and uplifting ideas that help you step out from the endless feedback loop from hell.
- Where there is true devotion, faith and love, there is no fear. – Neelkanth Varni (BAPS)
- Don’t believe in everything you think. Thoughts can be irrational and have no connection to reality.
- Don’t set goals, set habits. Even if you grow your good habits by 1% everyday, you will end up 37 times better by the time you are done. – James Clear
Don’t worry because everything will be OK. Life is too short to take tensions. Just chill and move with the flow of life – like a river gently moves forward overcoming all the obstacles. A few years down the road, you will be grateful to yourself for not letting the temporary moments of pain ruin you.
Do you have any of your own life lessons to share that help you in your dark times? I would love to hear from you. 🤗
