A letter never sent,
A dream never shared,
Emptiness that creeps between heartbeats,
An ache that feels beneath the ribs.
Among lots of said and unsaid,
there’s a beauty in silence.
The rustling of leaves,
The dripping of rain,
Breeze that hums a sacred tune,
Golden fields that whisper the song of love,
With the gentle lapping waves and turning of
tides,
there’s a beauty in every nature’s stride.
A crack in the vase that leaks light,
Abandoned houses embraced by green life,
Wrinkles born of belly laughs,
Scars that make you stronger and apart,
Weathered books with torn pages tell,
there’s a beauty in imperfection as well.
A missed train that led to a beautiful story,
A fantasy world where a baby lives,
A quiet escape into the woods,
A lovely couple under the hoods,
Like an old sweater that smells like him,
Beauty can be found in unexpected places.
There is beauty in everything, you say,
In the silence, in the sounds,
In the flaws that don’t shy away.
When everything fades, it’s the beauty that
remains,
Through sadness, through happiness, and
Though the life’s pain.
